Foundation - Aims & Objectives |
Main aims and objectives of the Tick Foundation
are as follows:
1. To help, promote, and establish education
programs for poor children including non-school
going and illiterates in rural and urban areas.
2. To work for uplifting of poor rural/semi-urban
children by interfacing them with urban children
and institutions and provide a platform for
knowledge sharing as well as facilitate scholarship/financial/material
help for their all round development.
3. To help and establish vocational training/skill
development programs for poor and unemployed
people to attain self sufficiency and establish
social empowerment centers to create self
employment. Promote sustainable social enterprises
focusing on the inclusive growth.
4. To promote environment protection and conservation
and work towards natural resource conservation
through trees plantation, rain water harvesting,
recycling, green buildings, waste management,
renewable energy to name a few.

5. Play the role of an active change agent
by assisting public instruments by engaging
volunteers and encouraging individual responsibility
and socio- civic sense in urban and rural
areas.
6. To provide educational information to farmers
regarding best practices in agriculture &
farming, and to help them get best prices
for their produce and facilitate knowledge
sharing and community development.
7. To work among the poor and lowest class
people who form the major portion of the growing
population and learn about their needs and
problems as well as their awareness and readiness
for socio-economic development programs and
promote family planning practices and provide
healthy and nutritious food to their infants
and children under the age of 5 years.
8. To study and research various national
and international socio-economic development
programs and make representation with central
or state governments in enriching and formulating
policies affecting poor people and major section
of people falling in the bottom of the population
pyramid.
